Back in her college days, Sujata dreamed of becoming a designer. Not just any designer — someone who could bring ideas to life. Someone
who could take a blank canvas and fill it with something the world had never seen before.
She loved experimenting with forms, colours, and textures. Design
wasn't a career choice — it was a language she spoke naturally. A voice she had long before she knew what to do with it.
But life had other plans. Like many young women, she found herself
walking the "practical" path — preparing for government examinations, CTET, State TET — because that's what made sense on paper.
— SOMETHING THAT CARRIED HER IDENTITY. HER CREATIVITY
Soon after college, she got married. New responsibilities. A new home. A new phase of life — one that asked everything of her and left very little space for the woman she was becoming.
The early years felt repetitive. Days passed in familiar patterns. She
wasn't doing anything for herself — and slowly, she felt disconnected from the person she had always wanted to be.
Yet, that desire to create never left her. It stayed quiet, patient,
persistent. Like a small flame that nobody could quite extinguish — no matter how busy life got.
— THAT SINGLE THOUGHT CHANGED EVERYTHING
One day, sitting in the corner of her room, she made a quiet but powerful decision — to stop waiting for the right moment, and to start creating.
She began exploring handmade designs, bags, and accessories. Small experiments at first. A little colour here, a different form there. But each creation carried something that no textbook or government exam ever could — her own voice. Her own story. Her own hands.
What started as a small creative outlet slowly became something she could not stop thinking about. A passion that got louder every single day.
The journey wasn't easy. There were doubts. There were challenges. There were late nights when she questioned whether any of this made sense.
But with every order, every message from a happy customer, every
new design that came to life in her hands — she gained something priceless. Confidence. Purpose. Identity.
The bags she created were not just accessories. They were conversations. They were memories. They carried the weight of everything she had been through and the lightness of everything she
was becoming.
No matter how many detours life takes you through — your dream is still there. Waiting. Patient. Ready. Jhhanak is proof of that.
And this is only the beginning. Welcome to Jhhanak. Welcome to the story.
